WebAug 1, 2009 · The purpose of this paper is to investigate the social validation of the shared evidence-based practices inherent within the ABA and TEACCH treatment models for students with autism spectrum disorders, and to analyze the comprehensiveness and fidelity of these models. WebTEACCH’s evidence-based approach is built on an understanding of the cognitive abilities, learning characteristics, and needs associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder. It is highly individualized and based on each person’s learning characteristics, skills, strengths, and interests as identified through formal and informal assessments.
