It will only give you 13amps total across the two sockets, but as you have 2.4 kw plus expectant load, I would advise to get the original socket and the new one wired back to the circuit to form a ring circuit. That’s if you had a ring circuit in the first place. WebIf the 13 amp fused spur is on the ring circuit and you want to add a socket to the load side of the fused spur yes that is fine as that individual socket will be protected by the 13a fuse in the spur.
