Web15 de fev. de 2024 · This double blind trial of cholestyramine demonstrated an 8.5% reduction in cholesterol, a 12.6% reduction in LDL and a 19% reduction in cardiovascular endpoints. In absolute terms, the reduction was from 8.6% to 7%. Once again, the trial showed that lowering cholesterol resulted in less cardiovascular events. WebMethods: We conducted a case-control study between April 2013 and March 2014 on 78 patients with schizophrenia and 68 healthy subjects who benefited from the dosage of four serum lipid parameters: total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), High-density lipoprotein Cholesterol (HDL-C) and Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C).
