Clean the excess filler around the top of the bolt and remove the screw after. Wait for the filler to get fully cured before you start putting the screw back into the stripped hole.

WebJun 30, 2013 · A marginally longer and/ or thicker screw without tapping (the OEM screws are usually coarse-thread wood-screw type items) will do the trick nicely though. Going from metric to imperial sizing is usually enough...and keeps the heads still firmly located in those self-retaining clips/arms of the airbox cover.
